The Standard Double Room offered unique features like a spacious layout and a large bathtub, providing a distinct touch of comfort.
The entrance to rooms felt somewhat neglected, with a narrow alley that has seen better days, and the carpet showed signs of wear. Dining options were completely non-existent during my stay, and the absence of communal areas added a sense of isolation. not ideal for the price, but there's potential for improvement.

We loved the cozy atmosphere at the hotel! The kids had a blast exploring the nearby beach, and we took advantage of the local live music events in the evenings. Our room was spacious, perfect for our family needs.
In my wife’s opinion, the pool could use more shade options.

beautiful surroundings near beach and town attractions
I really enjoyed my stay, especially for the superb location just a few steps from the sandy beach and a quick 10-minute walk to charming Southwold Pier, perfect for a leisurely city stroll with plenty of landmarks to discover along the way. The room was lovely and the breakfast service was attentive, making my short getaway feel special even with the hotel dining restrictions due to flooding.

Excellent Location with Stunning Views
I enjoyed a fantastic stay with a wonderful view from my room. The staff were not only friendly but also made sure my dining experience was memorable with a delicious prawn risotto. Being able to walk to the beach and the charming high street was a huge plus. the shower could use a little improvement in water pressure.

Delicious breakfast, comfortable shower with a choice of Rain shower or handheld, I particularly loved the superbly presented granola and poached eggs enjoyed on both mornings.

The Standard Double Room offers a surprisingly comfy bed and spacious layout, perfect for a couple's getaway. The overall ambiance feels fresh, and with the beach only a short stroll away, it’s clear why this place can be a popular choice during the summer.
Breakfast served from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM felt too late for an early start, and the lack of a proper shower in the Standard Double Room wasn’t ideal. parking can be quite the challenge during peak times, with the hotel's lot often full, though there is a public car park nearby that can fill up quickly too.

stunning views and comfy stay
Our room had a breathtaking sunrise view every morning. It was spacious, clean, and had a shower that felt very spa-like. The staff were super friendly and helped with gluten-free meal options. Breakfast choices were great, including smoked salmon and homemade hollandaise. Plus, we could open the windows to enjoy the fresh air and waves.
